Just try to come up with a context in which this picture would make any sense at all. It's Gordon Freeman fighting a strider while riding a dinosaur. I was really tired when I made this picture, and when I get tired my imagination gets a bit weird.
In case you need an explanation for the terminology I'll be using, you can just check out the commentary for this thing someone else did.
The guy who made the comic the above link leads to claimed at one point that striders are hard to pose. I disagree. It took me a lot less work to pose the strider than, for instance, it took me to properly pose Alyx in the airboat that is supposed to look like it has just driven off the roof of the building. The only problem with striders is that they tend to flail a bit, but if you're careful you can avoid that almost entirely.
The Combine soldiers are live spawns. All other characters are ragdolls. To make the strider in the background smoke, I simply used a smoke emitter. I took more pictures than this one, but this was the one with the best angle, and it's also the only picture I took that included the dead strider in the background.
